Lot 341.  SI World Football League Cover Autographed by Paul Warfield. Along with Miami’s Larry Csonka and Jim Kiick, Warfield jumped to Memphis of the short-lived WFL for the 1975 season. This cover (only) of the July 28, 1975 issue shows Warfield with the two teammates. His sharpie signature is a 10. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 342.  Signatures of Cowboys Randy White and Harvey Martin on the Jan. 23, 1978 SI. The defensive linemen celebrate Dallas’ Super Bowl triumph. White was enshrined at Canton in 1994. One of the great defensive ends, Martin died of cancer in 2001. Ex issue with a label. Sharpie signatures are 10s. Auth-enticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 343.  SI Signed by Billy Sims, Heisman Trophy Winner and NFL Rookie of the Year. Sims signed the Sept. 22, 1980 SI Cover and added “#20 80-R.O.Y.’” Leading the nation in rushing at Oklahoma in 1978, he won the Heisman Trophy. He finished second to Charles White in 1979. Detroit’s first pick in the 1980 draft, he was named the NFL Rookie of the Year by UPI and the Offensive Rookie of the Year by AP. Cover only, g-vg, very strong sharpie 10 autograph. Flutie won the Heisman Trophy in 1984 after quarterbacking Boston College to 10 victories and a fifth-place finish in the AP poll. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 352.  Oct. 12, 1987 SI Signed by Miami Hurricanes Quarterback Steve Walsh. A Heisman Trophy runner-up in 1988, Walsh played professionally for the Cowboys, Saints, Bears, Rams, Buccaneers and Colts. Cover only, no labex-m, with a sharpie 10 signature. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 353.  Dec. 5, 1988 SI Signed by Notre Dame’s Quarterback Tony Rice. Cover only with a scuff where the label was removed. Sharpie 10 signature with “#9” added. Rice led Notre Dame to a perfect season and a national championship in 1988. With Rice at quarterback again in 1989, the Fighting Irish lost only one game, and Rice was a Heisman Trophy runner-up. He played professionally in Canada and Europe. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
