The first 75 photos are numbered, 41 with a white on red number. Lot 231.  3 George Brace A’s Sets of Bra-Mac Photos, Athletics Team Issues. More than 175 photos! The colorized Bra-Mac photos are 3 ½” x 5”. The first set consists of 20 cards representing the 1931 A’s. This set has a number and the player’s name in white on red on the front. The colors in these photos are crisp and bright. The players are Moore, Haas, Dib Williams, Foxx, Simmons, Bing Miller, Dykes, McNair, Boley, Cochrane, Bishop, Heving, Cramer, Lefty Grove, Rommel, Walberg, Mahaffey, Earnshaw, Krausse and McDonald. The second set comprises 80 numbered photos with the player’s name in black on the front. The colors are muted and pastel. Key players are Foxx, Rommel, Paul Richards, Harry Davis, Cochrane, Bob Johnson, Eddie Collins, Ed Jr., Simmons, Majeski, Gumpert, Plank, Sam Chapman, Kell and Suder. The final set, which also has muted colors, comprises 73 unnumbered photos with the player’s name on the front. This group includes Wally Moses, Valo, Mule Haas, Guerra, James Walsh, Strunk, Coombs, Nicholson, Sugar Cain, Joe Bush, Nellie Fox, Brisse, Eddie Collins, York, Werber, Dykes and Tris Speaker. Overall, nm-m. Complementing the 173 Bra-Mac photos are uncataloged 8” x 10” team-issued photos of Brissie, Tod Davis, Fain, Joost, Majeski, Shantz, Suder, Valo, Don White and Jim Wilson The Majeski, Shantz and Suder photos have tack holes in the corners. Of the rest, one is g, two are vg and four are ex. The Majeski photo is autographed on the back. There also are 8” x 10” photos of Chochrane and Shantz (2), nm.

Lot 233.  210 George Brace “Bra-Mac” Colorized Photos of St. Louis Browns. Incredible collection of 3 ½” x 5” photos of the Browns’ players. The color intensity of these photos varies. They are sharply focused and at least nm. The cast of Browns characters ranges from Ethan Allen to Sam Zoldak. Between are such players as Ivy Andrews, Hall of Fame football player Red Badgro, Floyd Baker, Beau Bell, Bengough, TV soap opera star Johnny Berardino, Blue, Bottomley, Sugar Cain, Clift, Dahlgren, Paul Dean, Demaree, Rick Ferrell, Galehouse, Garms, Goslin, Pete Gray, Hadley, Haney, Hemsley, Hornsby, Kress, Mancuso, Manush, Luke Sewell, Street, Susce, Vosmik and West.
