Lot 16.  Nm to NM-M 1970 Kellogg’s Set of 75 with #27 Clemente SGC-Graded Nm+ 86. Like the Clemente card, the other cards in this set are perfectly centered with strong corners. Overall, the set is at least nm, and most of the cards could very well grade nm-m, as could the Clemente.
Winning Bid $198.

Lot 17.  Near Set of 60 Different 1971 Kellogg’s Cards Including 6 Graded by SGC. The missing cards are #2, 5, 15, 17, 31, 33, 44, 50, 55, 57, 58, 60, 62, 65 and 68. These cards are offered in separate lots below. The graded cards are NM 84: #14a Howard. This is the scarcer variation that says “1968 Washington NL.” Ex-M 80: #6 Perry, 10 Mays, 19 Aparicio, 51 Gibson. Ex 60: #61 Billy Williams. The remaining 54 cards are consistent with the graded cards, ranging from a few that are, arguably, as low as ex, and many more that are nm-m or mint.
Winning Bid $132.

Lot 18.  9 1971 Kellogg’s Cards Graded Mint 96 by SGC. Truly a high-quality collection with 8 Hall of Fame players from the scarcest of the Kellogg’s sets. Cards are #15 F. Robinson, 17 Brock, 31 Sutton, 33 McCovey, 50 Banks, 55 Killebrew, 60 Palmer, 62 Torre and 68 Stargell.
Winning Bid $303.

Lot 19.  5 1971 Kellogg’s Cards SGC-Graded Nm-M 88, 1 SGC-Graded Nm-M+ 92. The Nm-M 88 cards are #5 Clemente, 44 Kaline, 57 Allen, 58 Perez and 65 Rose. The Nm-m+ 92 card is #2 Seaver. These cards are all extremely nice, and what separates them from a mint grade is not obvious.
Winning Bid $121.

Lot 20.  Complete Run of 12 Nm-M Kellogg’s Sets, 1972-83 + a Bonus. These sets are complete without the variations. Overall, they are nm-m with some cards less and many better. Winning Bid $245.

The Mattingly rookie, #248, is centered 65:35 left to right, which is consistent with a nm-m grade. Centering makes the Carter rookie, #41, ex-m+ to nm. Other key cards are primarily nm-m, with some nm. In the 1990 set, the Sosa rookie, #489, is at least nm-m, and so is the rest of the set.
