Display-boxes   5 Lots

Lot 600.  1961 Topps Baseball 5-Cent Display Box and Wrapper. The box is taped at the seams, and the top is absent. The wrapper has the usual folds, a couple of wrinkles and displays well. Five cards accompany the wrapper.
Winning Bid $61.

Lot 601.  Topps 5-Cent Baseball Wax Pack Display Boxes from 1964, 1969. The 1964 box is missing its lid; the base is very nice. The advertising panel on this box raises a question because it pictures Stan Musial as it boasts: “Extra! Metal Coin in Each Pack.” Of course, Topps didn’t include Musial in the set. So what happened to the Musial coin? The 1969 box is complete. Part of the lid is detached, and someone has printed “AL East” inoffensively on a section of it. Colorful display.
Winning Bid $35.

Lot 602.  1965 Topps Baseball 5-Cent Wrapper with 5 Cards Inside. This wax pack was opened and the gum and transfer removed. Five cards remain. The wrapper has two tiny tears along the top edge and at one corner. It displays very nicely.
Winning Bid $30.

Lot 603.  10 Chemtoy 1970 Baseball Superballs with the Original Display Box. While the back seams are split and there is a tear near one seam, the box exhibits blazing color and wonderful baseball graphics. “144” is written on the lid. These boxes are tough to come by.
Winning Bid $83.

Lot 604.  Topps Display Boxes from 1970 and 1976. The 1970 box, which contained 10-cent packs, is complete with tears in the lid. The 1976 box, which held cello packs, has creases in the lid.
Winning Bid $40.
