Lot 428.  12 M113 Baseball Magazine 1910-13 Premiums - Mathewson, Johnson, Lajoie, Etc. The players: Jennings (1910); Chance and Marty O’Toole (1912), and Walter Johnson, Lajoie, Mathewson, McGraw (2 copies), Snuffy McInnes, Chief Meyers, “Death Valley” Scott and Tex Russell (all 1913). The Scott premium appears to be uncataloged. Nine premiums have pin holes and have been trimmed from 10” x 17-19” to about 7 ½” x 15” to 16” with the top and side border trimmed away. The images are complete. These premiums are pleasant enough to look at, with most having an ex appearance. One McGraw premium is complete, with the large top and bottom borders folded. It has a scuff and two border tears repaired with tape. Classics are here - Johnson showing off his pitching arm and Jennings doing his routine. If nm, these premiums would have “book” value of almost $1,500. Let’s start the bidding at, say, 6.8% of that.
Winning Bid $110.
