Lot 149. Rare 1920s-30s Candy Wrapper Featuring a “Brown’s” Baseball Player. In this case, the player represents the “Brown Cracker & Candy Co.” A fixture in Dallas from about 1910, the company remained in business until the 1940s. Subsequently, it was bought by the Sunshine Biscuit Co. Clyde Barrow once worked for Brown. The wrapper, in blue and orange, is for a “Let’s Go! Chocolate Milk Nut Bar.” Free of tears, the wrapper is adhered along the left edge to a sheet of paper. We have left it to the wrapper’s new owner to decide whether to remove it. There also is a small piece of paper adhered in the upper right corner. The quality and condition are outstanding!

Lot 150. Rare 1930s Wrapper for “Hoffman’s Big League (Candy) Bar” featuring baseball artwork. Produced by the E. A. Hoffman Candy Co. of Los Angeles, the wrapper shows a batter with a baseball behind him. The edge of the artwork has baseball gloves in the corners, crossed bats in the horizontal centers and baseballs the rest of the way around. Exhibiting no tears, the wrapper is adhered along the left and right edges to a sheet of paper. It has light surface wrinkles, primarily toward the corners, and a vertical crease. Attractive and unusual.
